久しぶりのマシュー・スウィートの新譜か？と色めきたったが
よくよく見るとスザンナ・ホフス（バングルズ）との共作で、カバーアルバムである
元々偏執狂的なエバーグリーンポップ（こんなジャンル無いね）
を奏でるマシュー･スウィートであるが
そんな彼がスザンナ・ホフスと組むとなると
想像できるのはひたすらポップな音
と早速聴いてみたところ、それがやっぱりぴったんこ
60年代ど真ん中で、The Velvet UndergroundのSunday Morningや
ニール・ヤングのカバーなんかは非常に良い雰囲気
今時いないだろうがパワーポップ好きには堪らない
僕のiPodではヘヴィーローテーションになっている
